DETECTIVE STORIES

I enjoy reading detective stories alot as it it is much more iinteresting than other genres! It keeps one in suspense, till the end of the story where the answer to the mystery is revealed. It also stimulates one's brain to think and work. Readers are able to infer through the process of interpretating the clues and to guess who the murderer, for instance, is.

T1W10 FRANCIES

Francies, who just broke up with his exgirlfriend was listening to lugubrious songs of lost love which totally described how he was feeling . As the music was playing, memories of the happy moments he had with his girlfriend filled his mind. He started to think about the bad points he had abd how much Jane had tolerated him. He regretted his pastdoings. He often revile in quarrels instead of settling matters in a peaceful manner which Jane does. He always gives Jane derogratory remarks, without caring about her feelings. He never ever appreciated this relationship and felt that it was pesky at times. Moreover, he indicts her whenever she commented on his behaviour.

T1W9

Mendacious people are rife. These people are usually profligate and they have no sense of honesty and respect to themselves and others. They may be lavish in their spending, but who knows are the money that they are spending theirs? They may have cheated others just to leave a luxurious life. And they will balk when people suspect their uncivilised acts.

T1W7 JACK , THE DEAF VIOLINIST

It was the annual Singapore Violin Competition, Jack, only 16 but already a consummate master of the violin, was feeling all calm and composed, confident. Jack, with 8 years of violin experience, is a deaf violinist, most of us will think that it is a task fraught with impossibilities for a deaf person to play a violin, especially when it is not for recreational purposes only. However, Jack an assiduous person, proved us wrong, he came in second place in the 2009 singapore violin competition, beating many other pros who are much older. Moreover, he was deaf. Jack and his supporting friends and family member exulted over his victory. Judges commented that Jack is a very resourceful person, who is able to deal skillfully with difficulties. He did not give up his passion for violin when he was deaf at the age of 10.

T1w6 SAMANTHA OR!

Samantha Or has been my friend since Sec 1! We got to know each other better as she was the chairman and I was the vice chairman of our class. My first impression of her is that she is
a very friendly person and a very intelligent person! She is also able to communicate with people easily! Although we were not in the same coterie of friends, we were still close friends then!

She is a very frugal person, a very considerate person and most imporantly she appreciates nature! She even scolded one of my exclassmates as he plucked leaves from trees! Whenever we leave behind tissue paper on tables outside, she will clear it for us. Moreover, she loves pushing in chairs! And she is a very generous person, she always offers people her stuffs. Her behaviour is the antithesis of selfishness and is always altruistic in her actions. Lastly, she aspires to be a prolific poet:D( read her blog entry about the poem of chairs and aircon)

T1W5:HECTIC SCHOOL LIFE!

School has been getting really hectic these days in Secondary 3! In even weeks, the whole week will be filled with tests! As crazy as 5 tests! We simply cannot afford the time to watch an hour of TV show, or to use the computer during weekdays.
Test results so far have been quite disappointing, I think I myself is culpable of that, but I promise to persevere. Slacking will preclude past year's effort to enter triple science class and also it will fetter my future. I can understand why teachers display asperity when students are not working hard. Teachers are just tyring to drive us to our fullest potential.

T1W4: GOAL IN LIFE
What do I aspire to be? This question has been lingering in my mind since young, and I have come out with many different answers! When I was in lower primary, I was inspired by a teacher. She could teach very well, she was friendly with students, not bias to any and most importantly she cared for us and taught us important lessons in lifes that textbooks do not cover. She affected me somehow. Thus, I wanted to be a teacher when I Was in Primary 2&3.
As far as I could remember, in Primary 6 when I was suppose to do a self-introduction in class, I said that I wanted to be a doctor. Well, I think I was more realistic then as I thought that all doctors earn realtively high incomes.
As for now, I aspire to be a professional dancer . It may not drive me high incomes but I feel that the most important thing in life is to be happy. Thus, if you enjoy your job, it would be wonderful!
But whatever it is, we all have to start from small roles so as to turn into big, successful people. So even if your employers relegate you in positions with unattractive pays, you have to start from there so as to become successful. If you behold the wrong attitude, you might be ousted from your sinecure. On the other hand, if you are successful, you can make singular contributions to the society.
